It was bitter cold and I was thankful for the solar radiation that was warming me on the summit of Mt. Liberty while I was setting up for this photo. The bluebird skies made for a crowded day as well with lots of people dodging on the rather small outcrop of rock that is the summit. This image is one of my favorites of this project.

By the way this is a glass plate negative. Due to the fact that the negative is actually a hand poured emulsion on glass, the expectations for clarity need to be tempered somewhat. There will be blemishes, spots, waves, wrinkles, bubbles within the image area. I believe that these are not imperfections but actually make these dry plate images exceptionally unique and one of a kind as no negative is the same.
